Police Badge

Police badge is a device or accessory presented or displayed to indicate some feat of service, a special accomplishment, a symbol of authority granted by taking an oath. They are made of metal in various colors and finishes and are worn above the left chest pocket on the uniform shirt or jacket. The shapes of police badges are manifold, with municipal police departments tending to have some variation of a shield shape.
