How To Make Metal Badges?

Speaking of the producing process of metal badges, as a professional lapel pin manufacturer, Donghong Craft & Art Co., Ltd. would like to share some details of it with you. Producing the lapel pins can be generally divided into the following 5 steps:

1.First, our professional artist in the production line will turn your ideas or your LOGO into the feasible production artworks. Then we will send the artworks to customers for confirmation. Samples or mass production would be arranged only after the clients' approval on the artwork. This process would generally take around 1~2 days.

2. We will turn the confirmed artworks into the black-and-white manuscript, the black and white would present the raised and recessed metal accordingly. We'll engrave the black-and-white pattern back to the mold and then heat treat the mould to increases the hardness of the mould. This process would take another 2 days.

3.Install the mold on the press machine, transfer the pattern of the mold onto the metal surface of by pressing the specific thickness copper sheet, iron sheet or aluminum sheet. Then we could see the basic formation of the product prototype. This process would generally take 1~2 days, but it depends on the order QTY.

4. Punch the pattern of the product according to the logo shape on the metal material sheets. After punching, the basic clay of the item would be ready.  Removing metal burrs, polishing, electroplating and the other processes thereafter, would generally take 1-2 days as well.

5. After electroplating, match the colors in accordance with the provisions of the color graph. Before each different coloring, the products need get dried first and then do the next coloring.  Generally, each lapel pin might require 3 to 4 colors. Once all the colors have been filled, the high-temperature enforcement would be processed to enhance the stability of the colors. Then we will add the resin epoxy to protect the colors from damage, The epoxy would also require for the drying to solid it. This process takes 1 to 2 days.
